SMS Reminder Notifications

When does BSG send out SMS reminder notifications and who receives them?

SMS reminders are not turned on by default. It can be enabled upon request/setup. There will be additional charges involved.

The frequency of the reminders depends on the reminder settings which range from hours to weeks in advance of the booking.

The following are the default SMS reminder notification templates that are sent to the Citizen/Proxy before the booking.

SMS Reminder (Slot Booking)

Reminder: You have an upcoming booking.

Booking for: <Service name> - <Service provider name>

Date: <Day> Time: <Time> Location: <Location>

SMS Reminder (Proxy)

Reminder: You have an upcoming appointment as an authorised person for <Service name> - <Service provider name> on behalf of <Applicant's name>.

Date: <Day>

Time: <Time>

Purpose of visit: <purpose>

Bring a copy of <Applicant’s name> photo ID and appointment confirmation for verification.

There is no default SMS reminder for event booking but customised ones can be setup upon request.
